For the last 1 1/2 months that we were in Russia, Philip and I moved into the head teacher apartment. Philip took over most of the head teacher responsibilities and it was just easier to have us live at the school. Along many of the walls you will see the radiators and pipes. The water pipes were built outside the walls. And I just have to say that it is quite a shame that you can't get a closer look at the wallpaper.... it was... umm.... lovely. So have a look at our Russian apartment!
View of the sunset from the little balcony, this apartment had the best views for sunsets and we got to see a beautiful sunset every night, it was pretty awesome!
The bedroom with a bed formed by putting two twin mattresses side by side, it was a pretty uncomfortable bed, but what can you do? At least it was somewhere to sleep! The sun would shine in that window at about 5 am and make it quite hard to sleep sometimes!
The washroom. You had to sit to shower in the tub and there was a switch to turn the water from the sink to the tub.
The toilet room. We had to tape the toilet seat up or else it would fall on you while you were sitting.... and if the people above you flushed while you were in there it sounded like it was going to fall on your head.

This apartment was very different from any American apartment I have ever been in. Philip said that it was an average apartment compared to others that he has been in. We enjoyed our time there and loved how often the other teachers came over. It was a lot of fun!
