We were able to go back to Moscow for a few days before we flew out. Our main purpose was to go to the souvenir market while we were there. We bought 30 matrushka dolls along with several other souvenirs while there, yes, they made a lot of money off of us. A real blessing was that the organization of the first stake in Russia took place the Sunday before we flew out, so we were able to attend. Elder Nelson was there to organize the stake and we were able to listen to him speak (in English, which hadn't happened for a long time at church!). Philip never imagined that he would get to be in Russia when the first stake was organized, so this was truly a blessing. At the meeting, they were speaking openly of the Church's current search to buy land on which to build a temple in Moscow. They asked for all present to pray that land on which to build a temple in Moscow might be acquired, and I would ask that all who read this could join in this prayer. The Lord has big plans for Russia, but a lot of faith will be necessary for His plans to come to pass. Russia needs big faith, and luckily, the faithful saints there will be able to provide it.
